Rich Dad, Poor Dad

Our task in Macro Economics: to make a reaction paper about Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Our professor told us not to mind the negative sides of the book and to just focus on the positive ones it has. But if she let me made a real review, this will be very different...

Rich Dad, Poor Dad starts by giving us the perspective about the title of the book itself. It contrasts the two influential male-figures in Robert Kiyosaki’s life, his biological dad, and his Rich Dad which is his best friend’s dad. Evidently, rich dad became more influential to the author’s decisions, values, and life in terms of finances. The book entails how the author was trained and guided by his rich dad at an early age. It focuses on preparing people through various forms of financial education to get out of the rat race. Mr. Robert Kiyosaki emphasized that financial education is very important in order for us to be financially intelligent. In addition to that, the author hands down principles or lessons taught to him by his rich dad that will help individuals wanting to be financially free. The six lessons are: (1) the rich don’t work for money, (2) learning financial literacy, (3) mind your own business, (4) the power of corporations, (5) the rich invent money, and, (6) work to learn vs. don’t work for money. Furthermore, the book gives tips and advices on handling one’s assets and liabilities properly and intelligently. It also presents real life situations wherein the readers can get lessons as well. Rich Dad, Poor Dad also tries to inspire and awaken the minds of its readers to start acting their dreams of becoming free from financial burdens and becoming rich.

The first of the six lessons provided by the book is that the rich do not work for money. Although the first lesson looks a bit absurd, it does not mean that the rich does not work at all.

Hello blogspot. What’s up? I know it’s been months since I last posted in here that’s why forgive me for not being able to check on you lately. I came back for one reason: To express thyself. I just want share the random things that is bugging my mind these past few days...

  • About the #PacBradley fight. I ain't expert but I firmly believe that the judges made a wrong decision. The whole world knows how Manny beat his opponent with his numerous power punches. We clearly saw that Manny Pacquioa is the true winner. However, the turn of events seemed to be so ironic. They didn’t give the audience the true decision but gave the one that is the other way around. Honestly, we did not expect this to happen. Basing it on both of the fighters’ performance, it was not what we’re expecting... You know what I liked regarding this turmoil? It showed us Pacquioa’s true character. I admired how Manny handled the situation and how he was so modest in accepting the judges' decision. Although, Pacman also believed that he won, he still accepted it with humbling grace. Sabe nga ni Aling Dionisia, “Remats!” Ah yes, Manny knocking out Bradley on a rematch is the best way to settle everything.
  • To hell with those people who’ve been hurt when Jessica Sanchez sang the Star Spangled Banner. What do you expect? She may be a part Filipina but she grew up in the US. It’s their national anthem, right? So, there’s no big deal if Jessica sang their anthem instead of our Lupang Hinirang.
  • Miami got into the Finals! Yahooo! (I am not a NBA freak like others but I do watch it, especially when I’m being dominated by my homies.) How about you guys, between OKC and Miami who are you rooting for?
  • The real reason why I want to be so updated about NBA is you, I mean her. There’s this girl that’s so into sports.... (shame on me that I am not.) Para makausap ko lang sya. Tapos!
  • I’m missing a lot of people lately. I miss my high school buddies, my block mates, and my long time crush. Actually, I got to text her this afternoon and luckily she replied. Our convo did not last long for I fell asleep while waiting for her reply. Tanga lang!
  • I’m thinking of more strategies to persuade my mother to get me a plan. Any suggestions?
  • My daily routine for almost a month: gising, eat, sleep for awhile, read, eat, watch some series, lift weights, eat, bathe, troll over the internet, eat, and sleep. Seriously, why am I not gaining any pound?
  • Anything with Peanut butter is heaven!
  • Lastly, our upcoming accounting subjectsssssss. No need to elaborate this baka lalong mstress sa kakaisip.

Any road... I just made a Tumblr account for some purposes, but I’ll still keep my blogspot for some purposes as well. I wanted to keep this because I can express myself here without filtering the things I feel saying, and without worrying how my family will react if by chance they read my posts. I just don’t feel like sharing this to them, though some strangers could see my blog, at least you won’t tease or make fun of anything I say here.

If you want to follow me on Tumblr, here’s my URL. Come on, let’s go Tumblng!

Movie Date With Mi Jeepmates + Annie

After the long wait, The Avengers finally hit the theaters last April 25th. We're able to watch it five days after its release because during that week we're bombarded by a loooooot of exams.  When I say a lot of exams, madami talaga! Anyway, about the movie, I was satisfied. I felt that we didn't not waste any of our time and money because it's all worth it! A real bad ass, indeed. Pero, pero... Something happened to me at the first thirty minutes of the film. I felt so sleepy! And I've fallen asleep for like 4-5 minutes? Loser! hahaha. Not that the first scenes were boring, I was just so tired and felt comfy with the chair and the temp. Of course, I felt that I missed half of the film already. Poor me.

Sabe na eh, Annie also felt it! Look she's half-asleep. :P

19th Birthday

I just thought that it would be great to treat my friends after our Special Qualifying Exam that's why I decided to invite them to eat out immediately after the exam. Here are some of the photos that were taken by Sushmita during that day.

stolen ba to or what? haha

I want to say thank you to everyone who remember and greeted me on fb, twitter, or thru SMS! Your birthday messages are very much appreciated. Thank you, guys! You don't know how you made me so inspired and elated that day. I was overwhelmed, and felt extra-special and loved. Lots of unexpected things happened. A lot of unexpected gifts from unexpected people came. (You know who you are. Kaya SALAMAT!) Sarap sa feeling. Again, THANK YOU!
